Fire Update:

With a heavy heart, we report that Camp Monakiwa has been destroyed by the fire. Most of what we know as camp, is gone. Please prayer for all who love camp.

We will always have our memories of camping days and friendships true. We have posted pictures that we have on our Facebook Alumni Page.

We will rebuild.

Camp Fire provides the opportunity to find their spark, lift their voice, and discover who they are.

Project

Our major goal right now is to work on Camp Monakiwa. We would like to make this a more usable place for groups. Camp Monakiwa is nestled in the mountains in New Mexico, and offers a variety of buildings and activities for everyone. Click to see what you can do to help.

Donate

If you are interested in donating to the Panhandle Plains Camp Fire Council or Camp Monakiwa, we are looking for supplies, building materials, volunteers or monetary donations to help clean up or rebuild. Please fill out the Google form.

This year, we are offering payment plans. You will receive a monthly invoice to get all paid before camp! Email Heather to set it up at panhandleplainscampfire@gmail.com.

Want to just pay in full? Payments and donations can be made at panhandleplainscampfire.square.site

Thank you!

We would like to say thank you to the group of students from Lubbock Christian that came to Monakiwa as part of their mission week and helped tackle some pretty big projects! A special thank you to their teacher KD Nixon for making it all possible.
